BLUE HOUR
BLUE HOUR 2019 | 92 min | with English Subtitles | Directors: Yuko Hakoda
Director Yuko HAKOTA makes her feature film debut in BLUE HOUR, where HAKOTA uniquely and masterfully gouges raw emotion mixed with reality and fantasy as she depicts natural scenery and memory of people through childrens eyes: contrasting sentiment and humor of adults losing their innocence. The film was shot beautifully by Ryuto KONDO, a director of photography of Cannes Palme d'Or Winner for SHOPLIFTERS. SUNADA, a 30-year-old married woman goes on a homecoming road trip with her extremely cheerful friend KIYOURA and confronts her childhood memory that she left behind in her old home. Through the reunion of her family and time spent with KIYOURA, she starts to see life and death more colorfully. ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
