6pm-7pm: Group riffing session
7pm-9pm: Solo performance and critique
9:00pm-9:30pm: Q&A with Natalie
Acclaimed singer and vocal coach, Natalie Weiss, conducts a master class accompanied by pianist, Alexandre Marr, on Wednesday, September 18th at 6pm at the Akron Civic Theatre. The class will begin with group riffing exercises followed by selected solo performances and critiques from Natalie. The class with conclude with a Q&A with Natalie.
Participants who would like to be considered for a solo performance and critique, please email a video of your chosen song to contact@alexandremarr.com with subject line: Natalie Weiss Master Class. Solo video submissions are due no later than Tuesday, September 10th. Selected solo participants will be notified by September 12th. While there is no limit on capacity for group riffing registration, only 8 singers will be selected for the individualized song coaching portion. *(Update: Submissions closed)
Class admission is $60.
Those selected for solo performances will be asked to pay an additional $40 (via cash or check) at the start of class.
Masterclass participants are welcome to bring guests interested in observing the class from the audience.
