The Call of Cthulhu
H.P. Lovecraft's cult horror classic comes to the stage for the first time!
Adapted from Lovecraft's story, THE CALL OF CTHULHU introduced the world to the iconic huge alien. Set in Providence in 1954, the story follows a university professor who is executor of her great-aunt's estate. While going through her papers she uncovers a mystery spanning eons of time and crossing the world, culminating in murder, insanity and a giant alien god.
The CALL OF CTHULHU is adapted and created by the same team that created HP Lovecraft adaptations for the stage for 10 years at Open Circle Theater. Sean Branney (Director of the film Call of Cthulhu) called Open Circle "The foremost adapter of H.P. Lovecraft in the world" and the productions there garnered international press and inspired a Lovecraft play festival in London. Long-time Seattle Director Gary Zinter (Madness Out of Time, The Private Lives of Eskimos) will helm the production in his final show in Seattle.
