LAVC Theater presents HAY FEVER by Noel Coward Thursday, October 17th through Sunday, October 20th in the Horseshoe Theater on the Valley College campus.  Evening performances, Thursday, Friday and Saturday, begin at 7:30pm.  Curtain time for the Sunday matinee is 2pm.

HAY FEVER is set in the hall of the Bliss family summer home in Cookham, England. It is June, 1925.  The eccentric Blisses - Judith, a recently retired stage actress, David, a self-absorbed novelist, and their two equally unconventional children  live in a world where reality slides easily into fiction.  Upon entering this world, the unfortunate weekend guests - a proper diplomat, a shy flapper, an athletic boxer, and a fashionable sophisticate  are repeatedly thrown into melodramatic scenes wherein their hosts profess emotions and react to situations that do not really exist.  The resulting comedic chaos ends only when the tortured visitors tip-toe out the door.

The cast for HAY FEVER includes LAVC students Matthew Hawkins, Ann Kriss, Josh Lea, Quirina Medici, Enver Messano, Ewa Tonia, Vivianne Torres, Bill Wallis, and Naomi kim Yoon. The production is directed by Theatre Department professor Cathy Susan Pyles, and designed by Department chairperson Jennifer L. Read and LAVC technical staff member Mark Svastics.  Student Jonel Hudson is the stage manager, Stephanie Morales the propmaster, and the crew includes students Ross Bauer, Beverly Gramajo, Martin Guardado, and Kathie Ramos.

All performances of HAY FEVER are in the Horseshoe Theatre at Los Angeles Valley College. Seating is limited, so please order your tickets early! On the day of your performance, please pick up your tickets at the box office will-call at least 15 minutes before curtain time.TICKETS NOT PICKED UP BY 15 MINUTES BEFORE CURTAIN WILL BE RELEASED FOR SALE.
