KEN BONFIELD www.kenbonfield.com
A self-taught (and now nationally recognized) acoustic fingerstyle player and composer, Ken recently celebrated 20 years as a fulltime musician with his CD Legacy a 12-song retrospective of his original instrumentals recorded live in studio with a harp guitar and two baritone guitars from his "chamber folk ensemble" of custom-built instruments, created by master luthier Al Carruth of Newport NH.
His main instruments are an 11-string harp guitar, a 6-string small jumbo baritone, and several OM-sized alt-tuned standard guitars. Most all of Bonfield's compositions spring from alternate tunings (i.e. non-standard tunings, with individual strings raised or lowered to create new note pitches, relationships and guitar voices). Besides Legacy, Ken has recorded and released 4 solo albums and 2 duos with violinist Joe Ebel. All solo albums have reached the Top 20 on instrumental charts, with Homecoming going to Number 5. Ken regularly tours across North America, He has performed in listening rooms and venues like Cafe Lena, Club Passim, The Bluebird Cafe, Eddies Attic, The Grey Eagle, Uncle Calvin's, Acoustic Sounds Cafe, Moonlight Music, Falcon Ridge Folk Festival, Kent State Folk Festival, and twice at Regional Folk Alliances in the Northeast and Southwest.
Bonfield has shared stages with songwriters Arlo Gutherie, John Mayer, Chuck Pyle, Christine Kane, Pierce Pettis, Louise Taylor, Billy Jonas, Cliff Eberhardt, Dee Carstensen, and Garnet Rogers. He has played instrumental guitar shows with Ed Gerhard, Bill Mize, Harvey Reid, Muriel Anderson, Stephen Bennett, Teja Gerken, Steve Davison, Danny Dozier, Peter Janson, Larry Pattis, Giacomo Fiore, Vicki Genfan and Martin Simpson.
Ken's work with luthier Alan Carruth has made him a featured performer at the famous Montreal Guitar Festival, Healdsburg Guitar Festival and the Newport Guitar Festival.

STEVE DAVISON www.stevedavison.com/
Steve Davison is a fingerstyle guitarist who composes on both the 6 and 12 string guitar. His original compositions are built around simple melodic structures and focus on the intimate qualities of the acoustic guitar and the tonal possibilities of alternate tunings that give the guitar such an extraordinary range. His guitar playing is influenced by his original musical experiences as a drummer. He put down the sticks in early adulthood to pursue the guitar.
Steve has performed around the country the last 6 years with Ken Bonfield as Artistry of the Guitar. He has shared the stage with artists such as Muriel Anderson, Larry Coryell , Dakota Dave Hull, Tim Farrell, Teja Gerken, Doug Young, Tim Sparks and Peter Janson. Steve has been featured on Arkansas Educational Network's program AETN Presents and his music has been used on the soundtrack of other AETN productions. Steve was the winner of the 2005 Arkansas Acoustic Music Festival and a finalist in the 2009 Merle Travis Fingerstyle competition. He has performed at the Montreal Guitar Festival and the Healdsburg Guitar Festival where he will be a featured performer this year.
TIM FARRELL www.timfarrellmusic.com
