Patrick Dethlefs + Jess Parsons + Sydney Clapp Live at Leon!
Join us as we welcome back our longtime friends, Patrick Dethlefs + Jess Parsons, and we welcome Sydney Clapp for her first performance at Leon.
Patrick Dethlefs:
(Pronounced DET-Lefs)
Patrick Dethlefs songwriting crests like a humble Townes Van Zandt, innocent of his own haunting melodies and lyricism. Dethlefs music offers folk Americana with effortless sincerity at a time when many acts strive purposefully to revive the stripped-down feel of a musical history long past.
Jess Parsons:
With equal parts heartbreak and splendor, Jess Parsons' songs evoke the classic singer songwriters of the 70's with a touch of Rumour's-style world weariness. An alumnus of the "hauntingly hopeful" folk rock act Glowing House, she can also be seen performing alongside avant-double bass wunderkind Julie Davis in Bluebook.
Sydney Clapp:
Sydney Clapp is a dynamic songwriter based out of Denver, Colorado. Sydneys songwriting is simultaneously devastating and hopeful. In the midst of deep processing of both the joys and sorrows of this world, Sydney sought vulnerability, healing and connection of our shared human experience through her music. Her experimental folk music invites you to connect with your deepest emotions. Rhythmic and melancholy yet visceral and uplifting.
