The Dirty Ragtimers are Paris based musicians featuring violinist Heather Stewart with guitarist and vocalist Lucas Montagnier. Fingerpicking guitarist and Parisian bluesman Lucas Montagnier and Australian vocalist and violinist Heather Stewart met and jammed at a gig in Belleville. Theyve been collaborating ever since building a grand repertoire. On a street corner in Montmartre, their first busking session resulted in the offer of a weekly residency at Montmartres famous bar Chez Camille. The duo started performing as The Dirty Ragtimers. The Dirty Ragtimers play classic American music from the early 20th Century. Bringing quality singing, finger-picking blues, hot/swing jazz, ragtime, country and gospel together to satisfy audiences as they were decades ago. The Dirty Ragtimers work their own arrangements, original songs, crying violin and sweet harmonies with an original sound drenched in history and quality craftsmanship. They bring the 1920s and 30s roaring back and are fast growing loyal local and international fans. After a tour in Australia and the US in 2018, The Dirty Ragtimers recorded their debut album in Chicago.
