Climate Adaptation, a green new deal and how we pay for it.
MMT Scotland are an advocacy group aiming to expand peoples understanding of how our modern economy works.
We are delighted to welcome professor Bill Mitchell, professor of economics and leading proponent of Modern Monetary Theory, Lorna Slater - co-conveynor of the Scottish Green Party, and Hugh Muschamp, a programme manager specialising in zero waste and climate change. We will explore all aspects of our climate emergency. How do we adapt? What would a Scottish green new deal look like and how we would pay for such a massive undertaking? The discussion will run from 10am until 1pm including a short break.
Are you interested in gaining a greater understanding of money and the economy? - professor Mitchell will be running a FREE workshop in the afternoon from 2pm-4pm. (See link below) https://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/4325329
