The Program:
Award-winning singer-songwriter Kelly Riley performs an evening of original songs and favorite covers, accompanied by a group of very talented and seasoned Boston-area musicians.
The Kelly Riley Band is:
Kelly Riley (vocals, acoustic guitar, piano) Raleigh Green (electric guitar, vocals) John Pfister (bass, vocals) Jim Treacy (drums, percussiom, vocals) Steve Lat (fiddle, mandolin, lap steel guitar)
Bios:
Kelly Riley (guitar/piano/vocals) is an award-winning singer-songwriter, accomplished multi-instrumentalist and Berklee College of Music Alum. Kelly has shared the stage with many notable musicians, including: Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, and Patty Griffin. Several of her songs have been featured internationally on TV programs and commercials. Riley has performed throughout the US and her songs are influenced by her love of Folk-Rock, Country, and Blues. Kelly's vocal and songwriting styles are drawn from a vast array of influences in Folk-Rock, Pop, Country, and Blues, including: Bonnie Raitt, Lucinda Williams, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Shawn Colvin, Sheryl Crow, Eva Cassidy, The Eagles, The Beatles, Carole King, Linda Ronstadt, and Etta James.
John Pfister (bass/vocals) has been playing bass, singing, and recording with countless bands of varying styles over several decades. Among those are Asa Brebner and Robin Lane and the Chartbusters. John is also the owner and head engineer at Ringo Studios in Marblehead, MA.
Raleigh Green (guitar) is an award-winning musician, educator, author, visual artist and developer. He is the author of "The Guitar Style Resource" (Alfred) and "Guitar Atlas: Jamaica" (Alfred). Raleigh graduated Summa Cum Laude from Berklee College of Music, where he was the recipient of the B.E.S.T Scholarship, the Professional Music Award, and the Quincy Jones Award. Raleigh performs in numerous bands throughout New England, including the Kelly Riley Band, Laura Vecchione, and Water.
Jim Treacy (cajon/percussion) is a versatile, seasoned, and dedicated musician and has performed and recorded with many popular bands throughout his career, including: The Make, Digney Fignus, Johnny A, John Cate, Jandee, and Lee Porter.
Steve Latanision (fiddle, mandolin) has been playing Bluegrass, Irish, Americana, Folk, Jazz, and Country music in the New England area for over 25 years. A Berklee College of Music grad, Steve has played and recorded with many significant artists. Among them: Jim Bauer (multi-award winning composer), Anthony Resta (Grammy award winning producer), and Ducky Carlisle (Grammy award winning engineer).
