An Evening with Brian Seymour
Whiskey-voiced troubadour Brian Seymour visits The Living Room for his only Philadelphia area show this fall.
Seymour is a veteran of the Philadelphia music scene. Born in Paterson, NJ and raised in Red Bank, NJ Springsteen country Seymour began crafting songs in his teen years. His goal was to combine songwriting in the vein of Tom Waits and Carol King with the power of American rock 'n roll. He was part of a wave of singer-songwriters who surged in Philly around the turn of the millennium.
Since 1996 Seymour has released 7 full-length recordings. His songs have been featured in feature films and on TV including the MLB Network, Fox Baseball, "Dateline" (NBC), "The New 90210" (The CW) and "Criminal Minds" (CBS). His songs have also been covered by Dan Tyminski (Union Station), Cowboy Mouth and Foxy Contin. The diversity of his placements and covers reveals a songwriting style that is spare and honest.
"From his early acoustic-based material to the more exciting new pop-leaning songs, Brian is a musical force to be reckoned with both locally and nationally." Bruce Warren, Program Director, WXPN
