Speed Bumps on a Dirt Road - Book Release and Concert
TCCC will present a concert of old time music featuring John Cohen and The Down Hill Strugglers, with special guest Little Nora Brown, as they celebrate the book release of John Cohen's new publication, Speed Bumps on a Dirt Road: When old time music met blue grass.
Publication of Speed Bumps is timed to coincide with Ken Burns' new TV Series "Country Music," which features forty-nine of John Cohen's photographs and films.
The Down Hill Strugglers with John Cohen recently performed at the Newport Folk Festival. Little Nora Brown, now 13, was featured in a short documentary funded by the Tribeca Film Festival called Little Nora (the Banjo Prodigy) and opened this Springs Brooklyn Folk Fest.
