The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley
Reading Community Players announces their upcoming children's production of The Musical Adventures of Flat Stanley, Jr. Stanley Lambchop is your ordinary, every day, run-of-the-mill ten-year-old: normal mom and dad, normal little brother, normal life. That's just the problem...for Stanley, life is too normal. He wants to travel the world, do something amazing, something no one's ever done before. Careful what you wish for, Stanley! One night, the bulletin board on the wall above Stanley's bed comes loose and falls - right on top of Stanley! The next morning, Stanley Lambchop wakes up flat. In a whirlwind musical travelogue, Stanley - the ultimate exchange student - scours the globe for a solution to his unusual problem. This story is included in many third grade anthologies and is known by most eight and nine year olds.
Heading the cast of young actors is Nicholas Panase playing the role of Stanley. Alex Goshert plays his mother, Pete Clauser as his dad and the littlest Lambchop, Arthur, is played by Sharon Borkey. Nina Botvin plays Mrs. Cartero, who acts as the story's narrator,. Rounding out the cast are Darian Bornmann, Qwyn Cephus, Joanna Fielding, John Fielding, Reese Ganster, Betsy Lucas, Madison Kemp and Samantha Pinero, who play a variety of comical ensemble roles.
