Bowdoin College Night - Arianna Smith & 2020

Ariana Smith is a rising junior at Bowdoin College. A Chicago native, she attended conservatory for Opera Musical Theater as a teenager. Ariana has been writing music since she was a young child. Her passion for lyricism and musicality has followed her through the duration of her life. She finds inspiration in the intricacy of nature and its parallel to human interaction, in addition to her devotion and love for God that she seeks to express in subtle and obvious ways through her music.

Her inspirations are Lauryn Hill, Lianne La Havas, Justin Nozuka, and Brooke Ligertwood. She hopes to express vulnerability and human relativity through her songs.

Weaving together the diverse musical backgrounds of its members - Jazz, Funk, Rap, R&B, from Alicia Keys to Beyonce, Vulfpeck to Childish Gambino, 2020's sound is fresh, modern, and guaranteed to bring the house down.
