ICONIC VOICES: MOZART IN THE 21ST CENTURY will feature one of the most famous choral pieces ever written, Mozart's Requiem. This quintessential work continues to inspire audiences and bring them hope with its mixture of beauty, passion, pain, healing, turmoil, and ultimate peace and rest. This work will be paired with his Sparrow Mass, written 15 years earlier when Mozart was just twenty years old. Delightful in its playful beauty and imitation of sparrows, these two pieces will celebrate the iconic voice of Amadeus Wolfgang Mozart, and his continuing ability to delight, challenge, and speak to audiences in the 21st century. Both works (and more!) will showcase the masterful voices of the Chorale, under the artful conducting of Maestro, John Sutton. You will not want to miss this season ending concert as we celebrate 45 years of the Angeles Chorale lifting their VOICES, and 10 years of Maestro Sutton leading them in bringing great choral music to the minds and hearts of our audiences.
