How Can I Keep From Singing - CANCELED
Sad to say that this concert has been canceled due to the Covid-19 Crisis.
Members of the Northwest Chamber Chorus have been singing for a long time. Most of us started in choir when we were in high school or earlier, and we truly can't "Keep from Singing". We want to pass the torch to the next generation and we're looking forward to this special collaboration with choral singers from the Tacoma School of the Arts. In this concert, we will sing side-by-side with these young musical spirits and expect that they will teach us as much or more than we teach them. Our collaboration includes one performance at Phinney Ridge Lutheran and one at Tacomas Rialto Theatre, just one block from SOTA. Featured composers include Giselle Wyers, Margaret King, Sarah Quartel, Volckmar Leisring, Jake Runestad, Pärt Uusberg, and Randall Thompson. Youll hear music from Zimbabwe, Estonia, South Africa, Venezuela, the German Renaissance, and the state of Washington. Join us as we celebrate the progress and the talents of tomorrows singers.
