ALPENGLOW w/ If And It and Lisa/Liza
Burlington's Alpenglow craft sprawling, moody songs that draw on folk traditions, making a reverent, daydream-inducing indie-folk hybrid that packs an emotive punch. They most recently opened up for Jim James here in Portland and their musical star is clearly ascendent. Lisa/Liza is the ethereal folk project of Portland's Liza Victoria, whose rapturously delicate vocals cut through to the bone. If and it, whose sharp blend of sparse folk and coarser indie rock makes for sonic gems, perform a special acoustic set.
