Jealous Of The Birds Residency

For the last few years, Belfasts Naomi Hamilton, aka Jealous of the Birds, has been toeing the line between the confusion and confidence of youth, developing a vocabulary as a songwriter rich in empathy and generosity.

Though she took an ardent interest in poetry and playing guitar at an early age, Hamilton didnt begin writing original music until late 2014. While studying creative writing at Queens College in Belfast, she released a full-length album Parma Violets in 2016. It was while making her debut appearances at SXSW a year later that another moment of serendipity would lead Hamilton to Canvasback Music/Atlantic Records (Alt-J, Frightened Rabbit, The War on Drugs).

Since finishing school and signing to Canvasback shes released 2 EPs, including the most recent Wisdom Teeth EP in 2019 garnering acclaim from the likes of NPR, BBC Radio 1, Paste and the Chicago Tribune.
