The Legacy Theatre is proud to present the regional premiere of the new Broadway musical "Bright Star"!
Inspired by a real event, this new musical with a rollicking bluegrass score tells a sweeping tale of love and redemption set against the rich backdrop of the American South in the 1920's and '40's. When literary editor Alice Murphy meets a young soldier just home from World War II, it awakens her longing for the child she once lost. Alice sets out on a journey to understand her past, discovering that life is indeed about stories - those we tell, and those we don't. With music by Steve Martin (yes, THAT Steve Martin) and Edie Brickell, you won't want to miss this show the New York Times called "Breathtaking."
