Dread-laced and hopeful, meticulous and ecstatic - the music of Chicago based Minor Moon dances with contradictions. The bands latest album, An Opening (out via Midwest Action / Ruination Record Co.), is a lush, stately (Chicago Reader) and completely captivating (Happy Mag) exploration into the dichotomy between alienation and connection, dealing often with political and social motifs in a manner that is hugely personal and yet reassuringly universal (Atwood Magazine), with sonic comparisons to Neil Young, Grizzly Bear, Van Morrison, Dr. Dog, Beirut, and Bon Iver.

In Ivy is an eclectic mix of musicians based out of the Boston local music scene. Their original music is influenced by musicians such as Joni Mitchell, Laura Marling, and Paul Simon. Their debut album "Aphrodite" focuses on the idealism of feminine identity. The music is a blend of folk and alternative rock while experimenting with world music rhythms and textures.
