This course is intended to provide a broad overview of elevator types, appropriate applications and emerging trends and technologies for elevator systems today.
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
-Understand the various types of elevators.
-Understand when to specify each type of elevator.
-Understand the similarities and differences between Machine Room-Less elevators.
-Understand new and emerging elevator technologies and trends.

Lorcan Monaghan has been in the construction industry for over 7 years as a project manager. He has been with Mitsubishi Electric, US. Inc. Elevators & Escalators for 4 years and started as a project manager working on high-profile new construction and modernization projects such as Sunset Bronson Studios, NoMad Hotel and Oceanwide Plaza to name a few. Lorcan transitioned into his current position as new construction sales representative due to his background in construction and his knowledge of Mitsubishi Electric elevator equipment learned during his time as a project manager. This has helped Lorcan provide valuable input to design teams on the development of vertical transportation on projects throughout Southern California. Lorcan holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering earned from California State Long Beach and in his spare time, he enjoys playing golf and traveling with his wife Annemarie.
