NACS 10th ANNUAL GALA "GIVING THANKS - HONORING THE MEDICINE PLANTS"
You are cordially invited to join Native American Community Services of Erie and Niagara Counties, Inc. (NACS) at our 10th Annual Gala as we celebrate 44 years in a 'Tradition of Caring'.
To honor our Native American culture, each year our Annual Gala theme follows the verses of the traditional Haudenosaunee Thanksgiving Address, so this year the theme is "Giving Thanks - Honoring The Medicine Plants."
Our night begins at 5:30 pm with a reception with basket raffles and silent auction items available to bid on. Our formal program begins at 6:30 pm with a welcome and traditional Thanksgiving Address. Dinner will be served by 6:45 pm.
The event will also include the presentation of our "Bundled Arrows Awards" which will recognize individuals or organizations who help to strengthen our community.
This year's honorees include Chief Sam George (Cayuga), Norine Borkowski, Peggy Oldsmoke (Seneca) in memorial, Beverly Porter (Seneca) - in memorial, and our Youth "Elder In Training" Award, TBD.
NACS has been a key service provider to the greater Buffalo - Niagara community since 1975. This annual fundraiser helps to fund gaps in our current programs, while laying the foundation for meeting the long-term needs of our community.
Tickets for the 2019 Gala are $100 per person*. We invite you to join us for what promises to be another memorable event.
*$100 ticket price only available until Thursday, September 19th then it increases to $125!! Last day to purchase any tickets is September 24th by noon.
