An American Symphony
Friday, November 7, 2008 S. Mark Taper Foundation Auditorium Benaroya Hall
An American Symphony is a unique concert experience that explores the adventures of living in the United States today. Mateo Messina brings his music to a grand scale with three choirs, a full orchestra and many musical guests. With people's minds currently on a war, a struggling economy and rising food and gas prices, people easily forget how amazing our country truly is. The opportunities available in America surpass those found anywhere else on the planet. "The American Dream" is alive and well and this symphony celebrates this alongside the hope and change we are embarking upon in the near future. Place politics and economics aside and celebrate the beauty of our landscape, the wondrous imagination and ambition of our citizens and the sound of a new era.
