NJProghouse Presents: Morglbl, Ad Astra
Mörglbl http://morglblmusic.com Often described as Primus meets Steve Vai or The Beatles meet Pantera, Mörglbls output veers toward the crazy, mixing substantial metal riffs with subtle jazz harmonies, deep pocket grooves, and their trademark goofball humor. Through two decades of performing and touring internationally and reaping well-earned critical acclaim from journalists around the globe on their six full-length albums, Mörglbl is an undeniably unique and creative musical force which transcends genre barriers and commands the attention of anybody into forward-thinking music with a lighthearted appeal. Mörglbl hits like a heavyweight jab and makes you laugh while you bleed. Seat belts are optional, but highly recommended.
Mörglbls The Story Of Scott Rötti was recorded at The Beat Factory during the Summer of 2018, mixed by Enzo DAgostino at Elia Studio, mastered by Mobo at Conkrete Studio, and completed with artwork by Pierre Bernard and Peter Puke.
Ad Astra http://www.adastraband.com/
AD ASTRA is an Instrumental Progressive Rock/Fusion band that has been active in the NYC/LI music scene for over 10 years. With a clear focus on melody and arrangement, on top of complex rhythm and harmony, their songs always keep your interest and never sound monotonous.
They've released two CDs of material and are writing for a third. Recent highlights include multiple performances at the New Jersey ProgHouse, a show with world-renowned bassist Stu Hamm, a blistering 90-minute set at the 2016 ProgDay International Progressive Rock Festival, a performance at the 2018 Progtoberfest Prog Festival and a show at the historic My Fathers Place on Long Island.
They continue to book shows locally and outside their home-base, while writing new material to showcase live before hitting the studio for their highly anticipated third release.
