I Have Lived - Jean Brassard Salutes Aznavour
Singer-songwriter Charles Aznavour, departed from this earth just a year ago, leaving us with a catalog of the human experience en chanson that pointed us to our innermost desires and vulnerability, reminding us through his words and actions that we all have much in common. Acclaimed for his Bistro award-winning tribute to Yves Montand 'The Kid From Paris,' Québécois-New Yorker, singer-songwriter-actor Jean Brassard returns to invite us with his natural Gallic charm into an intimate cur-à-coeur and explore the romantic and theatrical world of the iconic French star once CNN declared performer of the century.
BISTRO Award recipient for his tribute show to Yves Montand 'The Kid From Paris' (MAC nomination) Brassard has traveled internationally. In New York he has performed at the Laurie Beechman Theater, Metropolitan Room, The Triad, Helen's Hideaway, The Café at the Pierre Hotel, and as guest of Steve Ross at the Metropolitan Museum, Birdland and the 92St Y. With Le Gamin de Paris, his second CD DIX, has been praised by the press. Among others, he can currently be seen on television: RAMY, The Blacklist, Escape at Dannemora, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and as commentator for the WWE Network.
"Brassard may have a lighter footprint than Montand, but his talent and showmanship hold their own in an inestimable tradition." Cabaret Scenes
"...utterly amazing, a consummate talent - and he's handsome, too." Nite Life Exchange
"...oozing Gallic charm (...) The personable young man has a lyrical and virile singing voice in the best French tradition, smoothly melodic while alternately playful and seductive." London's Classical Source
