ARC Orchestra: Dia de los Muertos Celebration
Our special guest, Candela Quintet led by Edgardo Cambon, has been lighting up the Bay Area salsa scene for 30 years. We are thrilled to combine forces and bring ARC's 70 piece orchestra to the stage with his high energy band, featuring great vocals, a tight rhythm section, and powerful horns.
"Edgardo has developed the great ability to "read the crowd" moving flawlessly from a Guaracha, to a Cha-Cha-Chá, slowing down with a Bolero, spicing things up a bit with a Cumbia or the current Bachata, and bringing the audience to a frenzy with a faster Mambo, or a Merengue." Latin Beat Magazine
In addition, we premiere Daniel Avanto's Piano Concerto featuring soloist, Joe Gilman. Avanto has been composing orchestral music since he was 13. He graduated from ARC in 2018 and is currently studying Music Composition and Theory at Sacramento State.
