The BRC's "Purple Rain Participatory Experience" (P.R.P.E.)
As so many of today's future legends start, this all began with a tweet. BRC co-founder Vernon Reid started a chain proclaiming that 'Purple Rain'--as the star-launching vehicle it was--should be given the same reverence and cult status as 'Rocky Horror Picture Show.'
We couldn't agree more.
So on October 11 at the Alamo Drafthouse Theater in Brooklyn, we're presenting our version of a quote-along, sing-along midnight movie, the "Purple Rain Participatory Experience."
We're talking...special guests, props, open mics, Purple Rain-inspired food and drink items, and a pre-show you won't want to miss.
Whether you've seen Purple Rain 319 times or none, you've never experienced it like this.
