DIF Show: Friday, October 4, 10:00 PM: LOL Theater
Join us at LOL Theater for performances by Ghost of Love & Small Town Girl!
Ghost of Love: The Ensemble Project is a special show assembled by guest director, Laura Doorneweerd-Perry from Amsterdam, and made up of local performers from Austin. The concept is called Ghost of Love: A show of multiple love stories: young, old, passionate, bored, budding, recovering, familiar and unusual.
Romantic relationships are filled with words and actions- but maybe even more with what is not said, what is not heard, and what is not expressed. Which secrets do we hold from each other? What big emotions are we afraid to show? Where does our mind wander to?
Small Town Girl: Small Town Girl a coming-of-age narrative focused on the beauty and turmoil that makes up the period between childhood and womanhood. A bildungsroman, for those in the know! Not only that, but it's an improv show, which means that the story will be different every single time.
If you're a fan of Ladybird, Edge of Seventeen, or Sixteen Candles, this is the show for you. For while it may be made up in the moment, it's guaranteed to feature characters who are hopelessly vulnerable, outrageously angsty, and super duper awkward.
The performance is Friday, October 4, 10:00 PM. The venue is LOL Theater at 3851 N Lincoln Ave.
