Big Band/Motown Dance, benefiting St. James' Academy
Join us for St. James Academy's annual fundraiser, a fantastic event featuring big band, Motown, and other favorites from Dr. Phill Butts Orchestra, with all proceeds going to benefit the children of West Baltimore through the work of St. James' Academy.
This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Academy -- and you won't want to miss this year's fun-filled evening of good music to make you not just listen, but get up and dance. In addition to music and dancing, we will feature a silent auction to benefit the St. James Academy, so come prepared to bid on some amazing items!
About Us: St. James' Academy is a program dedicated to helping children in the Lafayette Square, Harlem Park, Sandtown-Winchester and Upton neighborhoods reach their potential by offering academic and cultural enrichment through a variety of experiences that spark their intellectual curiosity. Activities include partnerships with local public schools (including Harlem Park elementary) to provide after-school tutorial and cultural enrichment programs during the schoolyear, as well as a summer program that benefits students at several nearby elementary schools.
