From Page to Stage: Exploring Our Histories and Creating New Forms w/Dorothy Friedman August
In this workshop we will to expand our creativity in a supportive atmosphere; you will receive writing samples at each class that focus on particular aspects of the writing process;
and you will receive personal attention. At each session we will generate new poetry; explore issues such as Identity, Relationships, Language, Voice, etc.; use experimental techniques, such as those developed in workshops with John Ashbery, Barbara Henning, Ann Waldman and others. Therefore, we will explore new approaches to language and form. Workshop provides exercises and in-class writing, as well as tips on how to hone your technique, perform your poems; and get published.

A reading at the end of the workshop is included.
