Laurelyn Dossett
The Stokes County Art's Council's 2019 Come Hear NC music series continues with Stokes County resident musician Laurelyn Dossett on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at The Arts Place of Stokes, 502 Main Street, Danbury, NC.
Laurelyn Dossett co-founded the roots country outfit Polecat Creek, and shes recently been on the road as part of Rhiannon Giddens touring band. Laurelyn has collaborated with the late great Levon Helm, banjo virtuoso Joe Newberry, and the venerable North Carolina Symphony. She performs regularly at Merlefest, and has been featured on A Prairie Home Companion. The Los Angeles Times, elliptically evoking the landscape of the Piedmont, called Laurelyns music a breath of fresh, pine-scented air.
Laurelyn performs with her full band on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at The Arts Place of Stokes. Doors open at 4pm, music begins at 5pm.
Tickets are $12 for SCAC members, $15 general admission, $5 for 18 and under.
