An Argentine university professor discovers the cost of embracing his inner desires while his Brazilian wife is forced to reevaluate her own moral compass.

An accident radically changes Horacio's life, who ends up giving into his most primitive impulses and confessing to his wife that, while he still loves her and would like to stay married, he no longer wants to spend the rest of his life having sex with her alone. At first, Vera does not agree and pushes for a separation, but her professional situation makes her reevaluate: for the sake of her political career, it is essential she stay married to Horacio, the father of her only son. All the certainties of a conventional life are called into question when it comes time to face the truth.
