St. Joan
Through George Bernard Shaws uniquely witty and inspiring style, we explore a lively portrait Joan of Arc. Joan, who was a simple country girl, convinces royalty of her authenticity, rallies soldiers and confronts church hierarchy. From the perspective of the 1920s when he wrote it, Shaw was responding to Joans recent elevation to sainthood. In a lively staged reading in modern dress, the audience will be surrounded by a humorous and intellectual collection of characters; many of whom thought Joan was a witch!
