Musical Reflections at Autumn Equinox
I would like to share some live acoustic music with you back in the splendid hall of St Stephen's Church. I am especially inspired to share a few of my own piano compositions on the beautiful baby-grand piano, pieces which are quite personal to me, musical sentiments which have never before been offered in public. I will also play and sing some songs with my guitar, all at the poignant time of Autumn Equinox, a time of balance of day and night.
My hope is for the music I share to complement the season, bringing an opportunity to reflect on the long summer days and contemplate the move into greater stillness as we head into Autumn. For me, Autumn is a time when nature expresses her wisdom, a kind of bitter-sweet moment where we say goodbye to the Summer and we can feel the winds of change begin to reveal the hidden secrets of winter... There is an underlying quality of reflection in which we touch something deeply heartfelt, where the changing season speaks to each one of us in solitary silent whispers, inviting us to go deeper and listen closer to the timeless wisdom of the earth. Autumn holds a unique beauty, intimately acquainted with undertones of melancholy, the final symphony of summer, a very personal, intimate time of great gratitude.
I hope you can join me for this rare musical offering. There will be a small cafe of tea and healthy treats.
(Advance online ticket sales will end at 5pm on the day of the event. After that tickets will only be available on the door at £15)
