Madame Beauchamp's Mystery Theatre
Madame Beauchamp presents 2 one act plays: The Whip-Poor-Will, James Thurber's dark comedic tale of a man driven to murder by the song of a whippoorwill. (from My World And Welcome To It) and Mr. Blandings Builds His Castle, Eric Hodgins' woeful tale of a man who started out to build a house, and ended up buffeted and bilked , spending three times what he planned. (A story that appeared in Fortune magazine.)
Irving Schulman, originally from New York City, came to California to become a stand up comic and has made appearances at the Comedy Store and at the Improve in Los Angeles. Moved to San Francisco in 1989 to pursue an acting career in theater and never looked back. Notables: I remember Mama (Papa, Madame Beauchamp), Street Car Named Desire (Steve Hubbell), Playing in the Dark at the fringe Festival in 2006, Romeo and Juliet Capulet, Othello, Brabantio, Moon over Buffalo (Richard), School for Scandal (Master Rowley), The Lady is Not for Burning (Humphrey Divize), Lead role for On the Razzle Herr Zangler, Twilight Zone episodes at the darkroom. And currently producing/directing "The Madame Beauchamp Mystery Theatre" in the 2013 fringe festival.
