Drags For Children's Literacy
Drag Story Hour is a new organization in Arizona. It is just what it sounds likedrag queens and Kings reading stories to children in libraries, schools, and bookstores. Drag Story Hour- Arizona captures the imagination and play of the gender fluidity of childhood and gives kids glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models. In spaces like this, kids are able to see people who defy rigid gender restrictions and imagine a world where people can present as they wish, where dress up is real.
The event will be co-hosted by: Miss Nature and Raul St. James
Also featured in this event are the following performers:
- Kira Daniels - Prince Royale Carrington Hall-Dubois - Isis D. Frost - Iris Fleur - Geo Johnson - Ish - Beth Salts - Blair Witchita - Han - Kriis Dikay - Lisa D'Leon
We also have live vocals from both Hector Hood and Julio Romero.
Show is for all ages and child friendly. We actually encourage you to bring your children. The event is $10 a ticket regardless of age. Our goal is to help raise $2,000 for the organization.
