Every Silver Lining

The story follows our protagonist, Clara, navigating the complicated path laid out before her as it becomes increasingly clear that her brother, Andrew, is dying of cancer. Simultaneously, Clara is thrown into her first young romance with Ben-from-the-West-Coast, by her enthusiastic best friend, Emily, who is entirely unaware of Andrews condition at the familys request to keep it a secret. As events unfold, we follow the stories of Clara, her family and friends, as they discover, grieve and process their loss, and attempt to find meaning in sorrow.

Welcome to our production of Every Silver Lining by Allison Wither and Laura Piccinin. This is a brand new, original musical, with a cast of ten talented actor/singers and three talented musicians; a feat unto itself in assembling such an extraordinary group of theatre artists. We have come together to tell a story of family, friends, community, love and of course, loss. All that encompasses the human experience. How does a person go on after such a loss? How do we remember the people we lose? How do we keep them alive in our memory? How do we find the silver lining in the tragedies of our lives? These are the many questions and themes our musical wishes to explore and we invite you to journey with us through the music, love, loss and laughter of Every Silver Lining.
