Please join the Stroke Comeback Center for our 5th annual MIND MATTERS luncheon on October 25th at 11:30 AM at the Tysons Corner Hyatt Regency. This year's luncheon is sponsored by Tell Me Town Foundation and MedStar National Rehabilitation Network.
Please join us as author, teacher and activist Abby Maslin shares her inspiring story of resilience and commitment in the face of unthinkable odds. Abby will speak about the challenges of traumatic brain injury and explore the issues of identity, disability, caregiving, wellness, and authenticity.
Event includes a seated luncheon and book signings by Abby Maslin for her book, "Love You Hard" and Cindy Chambers of Tell Me Town Foundation for her latest book, "Now I Understand Aphasia." This year's luncheon also has the distinction of being the kick off for this year's Minds Matter Honor Roll. Add your name to the Honor Roll by sponsoring a survivor for $270, which offsets the cost for one communication class for a nine week session. Your contribution will allow us to continue our work with stroke and brain trauma survivors and serve as the only organization of this kind in the DC metro area.
** Please note, the Minds Matter Honor Roll sponsorship or donation does not include an event ticket. Please purchase tickets separately. Thank you!
*** To obtain additional sponsorships, please use the Mind Matters donation option listed below. $1,350 will offset the fees of a survivor for an entire year.
