A Midsummer Night's Dream - CEC Theatre
One of Shakespeare's most-recognized plays, "A Midsummer Night's Dream" portrays the events surrounding the marriage of Theseus, the Duke of Athens, to Hippolyta. Amid the festivities, four young lovers (Lysander, Hermia, Helena, and Demetrius) flee their parents to the nearby forest, where a group of six amateur actors haplessly rehearses a play to be performed at the Duke's upcoming wedding. Complications, confusion, and chaos arise when the fairies, who live in the forest, begin to play "puckish" pranks on each other and the humans who wandered into their domain!
