Join us for a panel discussion moderated by Alexandra Stanton, CEO of Empire Global Ventures with Dr. Wendy Suzuki, NYU Neuro-Scientist, TED Speaker, and founder of BrainBody, the groundbreaking company bringing individualized cognitive health to the market and Dr. George Mussalli, Mt. Sinai Obstetrician, co-founder of Village OB, and co-founder of Manhattan Maternity, an advanced wellness-based independent birth center.

About Dr. Wendy A. Suzuki
Dr. Wendy A. Suzuki is a Professor of Neural Science and Psychology in the Center for Neural Science at New York University.
She received her undergraduate degree in physiology and human anatomy at the University of California, Berkeley in 1987 studying with Prof. Marion C. Diamond, a leader in the field of brain plasticity. She went on to earn her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from U.C. San Diego in 1993 and completed apost-doctoral fellowship at the National Institutes of Health before accepting her faculty position at New York University in 1998.
Her major research interest continues to be brain plasticity. She is best known for her extensive work studying areas in the brain critical for our ability to form and retain new long-term memories. More recently her work has focused on understanding how aerobic exercise can be used to improve learning, memory and higher cognitive abilities in humans. Wendy is passionate about teaching (see her courses), about exercise (intenSati), and about supporting and mentoring up and coming scientists.
About George Mussalli, MD
Dr. George Mussalli has extensive experience in both hands-on daily care and administrative medicine. He is the former Chairman of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the beloved St. Vincents Hospital in Greenwich Village. Prior to St. Vincents, he served as Chief of Obstetrics at North Central Bronx Hospital/Jacobi Medical Center. As Dr. Worth tells patients Village Ob is incredibly blessed to have Dr. Mussalli. He is a true rarity a kind, sensitive, and brilliant high-risk pregnancy doctor who loves to deliver babies and take care of patients day and night. In the Bronx he oversaw the pregnancy of thousands of women in a community with overwhelming rates of obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and preterm birth. Dr. Mussalli did his subspecialty training at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons and is board certified in maternal-fetal medicine by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. A father of four, Dr. Mussalli understands the joys and heartaches of parenthood from both sides of the white coat.
About Alexandra Stanton
Alexandra Stanton is the CEO of Empire Global Ventures LLC. She is an attorney with a proven record of executive leadership in business development, technology, organizational development, and public-private partnerships. She has established operations in multiple foreign markets including China, India and Turkey, raised venture and working capital for expansion and development, identified U.S. and foreign partners for joint ventures, and facilitated export promotion to and from the U.S. Her corporate focus ranges from developing large multi-nationals to launching start-ups, and she is widely recognized for her experience in assisting female founders.
Ms. Stanton has worked in the E.U., Washington, D.C., and New York. She has held senior positions in large public enterprises, including the NYC Mayors Office of Appointments for Mayor Bill De Blasio, the Empire State Development Corporation (New York States economic development agency) and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in Washington, D.C. A veteran of state and national campaigns, Ms. Stanton has also worked in Paris for Doctors of the World, implementing their international organizational development programs.
In 2013, Ms. Stanton was appointed by President Barack Obama to the Board of Trustees of The Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C. She currently serves as Vice President of the Board of the Parrish Art Museum in Watermill, New York and Vice President of Doctors of the World USA. Ms. Stanton also sits on the New York State Tourism Advisory Council and on the Advisory Board of the Urban Assembly School for the Performing Arts.
Ms. Stanton received her B.A. from Cornell University and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center, and is a member of the New York Bar. Fluent in French, she resides in New York City with her husband and two children.
