Winery 10 Year Anniversary
Wind Rose Cellars is celebrating its 10 years as a winery, 2009-2019. August 17th we will have a full day planned. Wine tasting and live music. Food will be catered by Bella Italia. Enjoy tasting several of our wines, plus some of our unique and rare wines produced from Washington vineyards.
Live Music: 1-3 PM "Chicken Fried Swing". Cort Armstrong, local mountain man musician will play with the hot strings of Eric Bogart and Terianne Stratton from Stringology, a local gypsy jazz band from Port Townsend. Gypsy Jazz with a little mountain music.
3:30-5:30 "Sarah Shea and Chez Jazz" is an established jazz vocalist on the Olympic Peninsula. Chez Jazz performs songs from the American songbook.
6-8pm Lee Oskar and Friends There's no one in the music world quite like Lee Oskar. As a harmonica virtuoso, composer, producer, performer, visual artist, harmonica manufacturer and ever-evolving musical explorer, Lee is truly a creative visionary. He is known and loved all over the world for his unique artistic contributions with the creation of the tunes we all know and love so much from the 60's, 70's, 80's through today such as "Low Rider", "Why Can't We Be Friends", "World is a Ghetto" and his early solo works such as "Before the Rain" & "My Road" "Our Road". Lee is thrilled to share his signature music, featuring new arrangements, innovative compositions and well-loved hit material, performed along with outstanding musicians selected from the Pacific Northwest known as Lee Oskar & Friends including: Alex Mortland (guitar), Dean Schmidt (bass), Andrew Cloutier (drums), Denali Williams (percussion), Ed Weber (keys), Darian Asplund (sax), Lee Oskar (harmonica).
We invite you to bring a lawn chair and blanket to enjoy the day. VIP area is available for groups 4 or more. VIP seating limited to 16 people. Additional $10 per person for VIP area. Please call to reserve VIP seating.
