For the Lonely, Deenie Nast
After a 15-year legal battle with The Studio, Deenie recently won the right to perform as herself outside of New York City. Nast is back with a vengeance, singing the hits from her past, revealing very personal stories, providing commentary on some of her most famous screen moments and re-enforcing her legendary status to modern audiences. Songs, film clips, gossip, physical comedy, audience interation and general 'Nast-iness" will ensue! Oh yeah, and Minnie the Nurse will be there. www.Deenienast.com
Starring Deenie Nast Written and Directed by Audrey Crabtree Additional direction by Lynn Berg and Brian Kelly. Live Music Performed by Todd Price Original music created by the teams of Brian Kelly & Todd Price, and Audrey Crabtree and Travis Pleoger. Deenie Nast came out of retirement in 2006 for the SOLONOVA festival and when her contract allows, she has performed at Joe's Pub, The Brick Theater, Bowery Poetry Club, Rockwood Music Hall, UCB New York, Parkside Lounge, and The Magnet Theater, The Pit Theater. Deenie Nast is a grotesque character in the classic theatrical sense; a darkly funny combination of clown and bouffon. In For the Lonely, Deenie Nast, an audience member will join Deenie onstage for the full show creating an on-the-spot comedy team.
