ALEX CITY ARTS Presents SAIL ON: THE BEACH BOYS TRIBUTE
Sail On: The Beach Boys Tribute focuses on performing songs by America's Band, The Beach Boys, to sheer perfection. Members of Sail On have performed with musicians from Brian Wilson's band, The Zombies, Earth Wind and Fire, Cheap Trick, Mark Lindsay and produced recordings for Micky Dolenz. Sail On has performed hundreds of dates across the country, including filling in for Brian Wilson accompanied by the famous Nashville Symphony. Members of the band include: Wyatt Funderburk, a Nashville musician, songwriter and producer, on bass; Mike Williamson, a multi-instrumentalist and singer with years of experience on stage and in the studio; Paul Runyon, also a member of Nashville Band The Explorers Club, on keys; Matt Thompson, performer, recording artist and producer, on guitar; and Jason Brewer, songwriter and producer for The Explorers Club and Goldstar Recordings label co-owner, on guitar. All band members are vocalists who combine their talents to form the intricate and rich harmonies for which The Beach Boys were famous. They beautifully capture the Beach Boy experiencegreat sound, attention to details, fantastic audience rapport. Their love for the music of the Beach Boys is clear.
