Steve Turnidge is a musician and mastering engineer, and a general purpose local universe problem solver. He was a member of the synth pop band The UltraViolet Catastrophe in the 80s, founder of Northwest CyberArtists in the 90s, Weedshare music distribution in the 00's. A lifelong resident of Seattle, he has been involved in the active collision of art and technology for decades. He has authored two books on audio mastering. The first, Desktop Mastering, was a nuts and bolts view of mastering audio in the box. The second, Beyond Mastering, is for everyone seeking to master their lives, discussing physics and philosophy. He is now working on a third book - Beyond Performance.
