LATIN JAZZ @ MONDO: The New "Eclectico" CD Release Concert with The Pablo Lanouguere Quintet
The popular LATIN JAZZ @ MONDO music series continues with a special concert event on Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 8:00pm at the cozy MONDO venue, located at 426 Springfield Ave in downtown Summit, NJ. You are surrounded by inspiring fine art as you enjoy an intimate concert experience with the best of Latin jazz from NYC and beyond. The critically acclaimed Pablo Lanouguere Quintet will perform their special South American jazz fusion sound that has received popular acclaim in NYC and beyond. This special concert event marks the release of the new Eclectico CD by the group. Argentinean bassist Pablo Lanoguere will be joined on stage by pianist Emilio Teubal, violinist Meg Okura, guitarist Federico Diaz, and percussionist Franco Pinna plus special guest vocalist Juana Luna. Bassist-composer Pablo Lanouguere and his talented musicians offer the debut release of this new quintet music project, an intriguing set of original World Fusion that combines together the inspirations of modern jazz, classical music and tango, his Argentinean heritage. Comprised of a dozen originals (11 by the bassist), the music crosses many stylistic boundaries while being rooted in creative jazz, modern tango, classical music and folk melodies from Lanougueres cultural heritage. Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Pablo Lanouguere is an active musician and composer based in New York City. As a sought after musician, he regularly plays with renowned artists and bands of Tango, Jazz, Latin-Jazz, Swing, Salsa, Classical and World Music. He has played at some of the most important venues in NYC such as Carnegie Hall, The National Sawdust, Zinc Bar, Bryant Park Music Festival, SOB'S, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, The Django, among several others. Over the past few years, Mr. Lanouguere has collaborated with accomplished artists such as; Raul Jaurena, Fernando Otero, Daniel Binelli & Astoria Tango Orchestra, Adam Tully, Emilio Solla and Federico Diaz. Additionally, he has also toured around the US with the Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet. Also, since 2016 he is founding member of Abaddon, a traditional Tango Sextet based in New York City. He has also been part of theater productions including Five Senses (Tango Show, 2015 at Thalia Spanish Theater), Macbeth (Shakespeare Play, 2015 by Fox Wolf Productions), Afrotango (Musical, 2016 at Thalia Spanish Theater) and Tangomenaje (Tango Show, 2017 at Thalia Spanish Theater). He has studied with Nestor Ibarra (Harmony and Composition), Mariano Otero, Gustavo Giles, Guillermo Delgado, Alejandro Herrera (Electric Bass), Daniel Falasca and Pedro Giraudo (Double Bass) In addition, he holds a degree in Jazz Music from the Escuela de Musica Popular de Avellaneda in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
