Robert Grandchamp, Author: "Rhode Island Civil War Dead: A Complete Roster"
Robert Grandchamp is an authority on Rhode Island's Civil War soldiers. He has written ten books and has published as many essays on the subject.
An eloquent and seasoned presenter, Robert comes to Slater Mill on Tuesday, July 9 to discuss his upcoming book and his two decades of research. Join us - it's free!

Robert Grandchamp is the award winning author of ten books, as well as scores of reviews and articles about American military history. A native Rhode Islander, with deep roots set in the rocky soil of western Rhode Island, Robert earned his M.A. in American History, as well as his B.A. in American History and Anthropology from Rhode Island College in Providence.
Robert is the recipient of the Margaret B. Stillwell Prize from Brown University, the Order of St. Barbara from the Rhode Island National Guard, as well as letters of commendation from the governor of Rhode Island and mayor of Providence.
Robert has worked in the museum field and served three seasons as a National Park Ranger at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park and later at Shenandoah National Park. He is now an analyst with the Federal government and lives high up in the Green Mountains in historic Jericho Center, Vermont.
