New World Play Fest

The 2nd Annual New World Play Festival embraces Nothing Without a Companys season theme of Community by planting new plays in three of Chicagos neighborhoods. Across the city, we want to discover: How do our parks serve as places of community? What happens when community changes? Who are our leaders, and what do we expect of them? What happens when our communities reach out to each other? In Rogers Park, Lawndale, and South Chicago, we will be digging into these questions with new plays written and developed in our local parks.
