Sushi & Sake at Prasino

An often-overlooked beverage, sake has an aromatic flavor profile and is a fine complement to a wide variety of foods. Guests at prasino's Sushi & Sake event will delve deep into the Japanese art form through an exciting six-course pairing menu featuring sake and sake cocktails.

The eco-chic, sustainable restaurant is partnering with Major Brands' sake "expert" from Japan, who will deliver an educational segment on sushi and sake.

The evening will feature Japanese-style utensils and table set up, and guests will be able to purchase the different sakes. They will also leave with ideas on how to host this style of dinner and other themed dinners at home.

The menu:
First Course
Chilled melon soup with chili crab; vanilla-poached rock shrimp and wasabi salad

Second Course
Compressed sushi with smoked salmon; Buckwheat noodles and kezuri-bushi dipping sauce

Third Course
Seared head-on prawns over hot salts with Japanese garlic and chile

Fourth Course
Flight of house sushi

Fifth Course
Fried aubergine with red miso sauce

Dessert
Sweet green tea crème brûlée with sweet ginger caviar
