Men of the West Festival Pass

We are excited to present a Western Film Festival, created by The Strand Theatre in Vicksburg and Running Wild Films.

Featuring showings of Western classics such as BITE THE BULLET, MAN OF THE WEST, MONTE WALSH, and HIGH PLAINS DRIFTER with our special guest Mitchell Ryan, who appears in the latter two along with playing the villain in Lethal Weapon and a long history in the movies and TV.

All proceeds will go to support The Strand Theatre and our 12 Westerns in 12 Months.

FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 20th

7pm - Opening Night Film - BITE THE BULLET
Starring Gene Hackman, Candice Bergen, James Coburn
This showing is a tribute to Jan-Michael Vincent who lived in Vicksburg until his death.

SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 21st

2pm - Matinee - MAN OF THE WEST
Starring Gary Cooper
Introduction by Travis Mills discussing the connection between this Western and the horror genre.

4pm - SILENT WESTERNS
A selection of the work of Western film pioneer Thomas H. Ince with an introduction by Travis Mills

4pm- 6pm Happy Hour/Dinner Break

6pm - Reception with Mitchell Ryan
Festival pass holders ONLY mingle with festival guest/actor Mitchell Ryan. Complimentary snacks will be available.

7pm - Saturday Night Film - MONTE WALSH
Starring Lee Marvin, Jack Palance, Mitchell Ryan
Featuring an introduction/Q&A with festival guest Mitchell Ryan

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 22nd

2pm - 4pm - Selection of Readings from the 12 Westerns in 12 Months
Various actors will perform scenes from several of our Western scripts on the Strand Theatre stage.

4pm - 6pm - Dinner Break

6pm - Closing Night Film - HIGH PLANS DRIFTER
Starring Clint Eastwood.

A free showing to close our festival with another introduction/Q&A with festival guest/actor Mitchell Ryan.
