Pushing Chain at Roots Cellar
Pushing Chain will be playing at the Roots Cellar (basement of University Baptist Church in Dinkytown) on Saturday, January 4th, 2020 @ 7pm. Tickets $15 GA or $10 Students/Seniors.
---- Pushing Chain is Boyd Blomberg on guitar and vocals and Adam Moe on fiddle and vocals. The duo recently celebrated 20 years of making music together, as well as the release of their new album, Sorrows Always Swim. Playing approximately 200 shows every year, Boyd and Adam have been doing what they can to spread their brand of folky-tonk roots music far and wide in venues big and small across the United States and Canada.
Pushing Chain believes in strong harmonies, kazoos, and sad songs. We believe in performing songs weve never played together, and jamming with people weve just met. That a guitarist and a fiddler can cover Hendrix if they want to. That music can cause tears and laughter, sometimes in the course of one song, and that there are still important songs to be written. That a good band will make strangers share a table. ---
Roots Cellar is located at University Baptist Church in Dinkytown at 1219 University Ave SE, Minneapolis MN 55414. Bus routes are a block away and parking is available in small lots next door, paid lots around dinkytown, and street parking as well.
