Contact and Creation with LuneAseas
-This class is open to dancers, actors, circus artists, and anyBODYfor that wants to create -In this class we will explore the inner workings of contact improvisation. -Weight Sharing -build trust -creative problem solving -Shape Creation -Physical Theater -Creating choreography as a group -Quickly and efficiently creating performance ready content. Open to anyone from non-dancers to experienced performers, this workshop is designed to build community and reawaken the senses. Sessions are playful, group-driven, physically challenging, and fun. Participants connect through touch, sight, and sound, using their senses to improve communication.
Taught by Leah Casper- studied dance and music at the University of Iowa, a 3 time participant of the Pilobolus summer workshop series. She has been leading, directing, performing, with 6Degrees since 2013 and has free lanced 1,000,000,000 illion other projects along the way.
Steve Dewey- Theatre Director of LuneAseas holds a B.F.A. in art from the Maryland Institute College of Art. He performed with the renowned performance troupe aminibigcircus for 10 years. For 20 years Steve has taught his signature style of art, movement, and music to all ages. He has worked extensively with the special needs community.
